Hello to all new to the forum an just after a little help & advice realy.
Im currently thinking of buying a Suzuki TS50X (i know there old b4 ya say). The reason for this when i was 17 i had a lovely suzuki ts bored derestricted an could easerly hit 80 (i proved it could do 65 hitting a car) Yes idd the bike was a monster i was a new rider an only had it 1 week befor smashing into the back of a car (not my fault) i then got this bike done backup within 3 days of having it back it was stolen.

So now at 23 im looking to jump back on.I couldnt think of a bike i would want more then the TS this is where i need some help tho.

I would like to get it to do a nice top speed 55-65 will do me happy but what do i need an how can i gain this target.ive read few things but would like to keep the price down some say new exhaust bigger sprockets an bigbore kit .
the only kit i would want is the (MALOSSI BIG BORE CYLINDER KIT ) The BIG one exhaust an i have no clue what sprocket as honestly i dont have much knowledge on repairing fixing bikes (ive just ridden em)

So if some of you lovely people can give me advice on what the best way to get a top speed without blowing the bike up is thanks in advance

Tuning 2 strokes can inevitably lead to holed pistons etc.
If you're increasing the engine bore then you will probably need to upjet the carb or even change to a bigger carb, and change to a performance exhaust. You could try VE UK for more info on Malossi and on tuning or somewhere like Stan Stephens (a dedicated 2 stroke tuner).
If you increase the output/capacity it no longer becomes a moped and you may need to check your licence and insurance for correct cover (and you'll need a CBT certificate).

Thanks for your reply.the bike im after has allready been derestricted an has (BIG one) exhaust from looking around ive read these are pretty good. They cost a small fortune to (£60 or straight thru £124)

Bennits have quoted me £181 for comprehensive (is that right) insurance an thats knowing its derestricted with sports exhaust.Correct me if wrong as im not sure but on cbt at 23 i can ride upto a 125cc ? so getting a 50cc with 70cc bigbore kit is fine an doesnt mean it will have to much power

CBT i will have to take another which im aware of.But must say bit of a joke i passed when i was 17 had ridden for 2 yrs doesnt this mean my skills should be better not worse. Can some one explain the reason of why they like to get 100 quid every 2 yrs.
I know they expect you to take full lisence but tbh i can niether want or afford a bigger bike so a tuned 50 cc will do me fine

For the reason that some people take a CBT then ride around on it with no extra training, thus picking up bad habits. Just cos u passed a CBT, doesn't make you a careful rider.
